Jo, a full-time professional photographer, regards herself as
a 37 year old northerner, a Preston Lass now living in Ulverston, Cumbria with her husband and beautiful baby son Finn who came into the world with the help of IVF in October 2019. She is a resilient lass, been through some tough times but emerged stronger and with a darker sense of humour. She's at her happiest when on top of a mountain, usually in the Lake District, with a peanut butter sandwich watching the world go by and even happier with her camera in her hands. She was a design technology teacher for 7 years and prior to that a graphic designer for 8 years, working in the Sportswear industry, marketing/advertising industry and exhibition industry. Jo launched her photography career full-time in March 2020, when the world ended!! She very quickly had to pivot her skills back into graphic design and start working on other items to sell from downloadable PDF’s, wedding stationery, designing packaging for photographers, learning video and becoming a commercial drone pilot. She also formed a new company with her two creative friends - With Abandon, The Lake District Elopement Collective, where her main role is filmmaker. You can check out work on their website - www.withabandon.co.uk
